Everyone has a unique journey, and no one understands this better than Dr. Holinbeck. Born in Nigeria and raised in North Carolina, she has also lived in Texas and California. But she’s proud to now call Wisconsin her home! Her vision in building this dental office is to provide a safe place for people to receive dental treatment that aligns with their own values and perceptions of health. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
I became drawn to dentistry when I realized I could provide healthcare while also nurturing my artistic side. I just love how hands-on dentistry is! It’s so rewarding to be able to make a difference in someone’s life with my hands. Also, I was attracted to the challenge of an industry that is constantly evolving. This keeps me on my toes and always learning. Lastly, I’ve always enjoyed getting to know others, and I knew that as a dentist I would get to meet lots of fascinating people. So many people spend years trying to find that special passion. I feel blessed to have a career that utilizes my best skills, keeps me ignited and gives me so much fulfillment!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Though I’m no longer in school, I believe strongly in the importance of continuing education and have dedicated hundreds of hours of additional learning to the following passions:
- Ozone/oxygen therapies
- Zirconia (metal-free) implant placement
- Biomimetric dentistry
- Cosmetic smile enhancements
- Full mouth rehabilitations
- IAOMT SMART certification for safe amalgam removal
- Advanced CEREC certification
- Certified Invisalign provider
- Completing Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry
- Active in prestigious Spear Study Club
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When I’m not busy at work, I enjoy spending quality time with my three guys (husband and two young sons), participating in water sports, playing basketball, and going cross country skiing. I also love writing and have been known to dedicate early weekend mornings to doing puzzles in front of the fire.
